Journeys: My Most Recent Mixed-Media Series __________________________________________
These works represent journeys. I believe that the journeys in our lives, whether in real life or in our imaginations, are more important than the destinations. These works celebrate the exploration of our lives and the roads that we must choose. I am using items that are usually considered "trash" (shredded paper, fused plastic bags and "found" objects) mixed with natural elements to emphasize the tension between ourselves and our environment and I am using larger panels and panels in multiples to underscore the depth and complexity of our journeys.
